DON'T QUIT

When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging seems up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
and you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit, rest if you
must but don't you quit.

Life is queer with its twist and turns, as
everyone of us sometimes learns, and many a
failure turns about when she might have won
had she stuck it out; Don't give up though the
pace seems slow - You may succeed with
another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out-The
silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and you
never can tell how close you are,
it may be near when it seems so far;
so stick to the fight when you're hardest hit
It's when things seem worse that you must
not quit.

A little poem I have hanging in the shop to remind me running your own business is worth it.

I like that very much - it will be added to my collection of quotes and inspirational 'stuff'.

Hi Driving - thank you I always have a little read when things are not quite going the way I want them too. Hope you are keeping well. x

Elsie - I wish I could take the credit for writing it but I didn't, it's from one of these paper wall placks that my mum had and was throwing out, I decided it would go well in the shop, as a little kick up the backside if required. x

It's a lovely poem. I bought a plate with this poem on for my first mother-in-law when they were going through a rough patch.
